Format: a real PNG
Renaming a JPG to .png does not convert it, and the car will skip it. Export as PNG and keep the transparency from the template so the areas around the panels stay empty.
Dimensions: 512–1024 px per side
Use the official template size whenever possible: 1024 × 1024 for Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X, and 1024 × 768 for Cybertruck. The editor starts at that size and may reduce the resolution proportionally to meet the 1 MB limit.
File size: 1 MB or less
Detailed photos push files over the limit. Reduce noise and gradients, or let our editor shrink the export automatically while keeping proportions.
Filename: short and plain
Up to 30 characters with letters, numbers, spaces, dashes or underscores. Avoid emoji, accents and symbols so the file shows up on every software version.

Can I use a JPG or WebP?
No. Paint Shop only accepts PNG files.
My PNG is 2048 px. Will it work?
No. Resize it to the template size (1024 px wide) first.
